If my name is familiar to you, it's probably because of my first novel, Out of Time, which won a Lambda Literary Award and was a finalist for the ALA's Gay and Lesbian Book Award. Or maybe you used to read my syndicated op-ed column on LGBT politics and life, or you've followed my LGBT history blog, "The Queerest Places," or the blog I kept when I was caretaking my parents, "Dementia Blues." Then again, you may have just stumbled on this page from some distant part of cyberspace and have no idea who I am or why you should care. If that's the case, I'm hoping you'll stick around to find out.
